The Art of Hosting a Toddler Birthday Party

 

Hosting any party is a bit crazy. You’re trying to make sure everything is together, you’re checking on everyone and you’re trying to be sociable at the same time. Add toddlers to the mix and….. Whew. The last few parties that I’ve thrown for the twins has been interesting. Their first birthday party was a complete mess, in terms of hosting. We were trying to make sure everything went well, keep our eyes on the two of them (only one of them could walk at the time) and interact with our guests. IT. WAS. A. MESS. Creating an itinerary for your dinner party can save you from awkward spaces where there’s nothing going on and it can give you more confidence that you can pull the party off. One of the most important things that you can do when planning your itinerary is to structure everything around the “eating” part.
